Pierre Ragues is already turning his attention to the thrilling ELMS showdown that is set to take place at Circuit Paul Ricard in the south of France this weekend.
However, Pierre made a special appearance at the KZ karting world championships in Varennes last weekend in order to keep his racing skills in top condition.
Taking to a Sodi chassis with Bridgestone tyres, Pierre returned to his passion of karting and completed a solid performance. The prime objective for Pierre was to keep his race craft sharp ahead of this weekend’s final round so he kept out of trouble and finished the final in 22nd position among some of the world’s most established and competitive karting stars. Pierre had started the final in a commendable 13th spot, proving his versatile driving skills.
Pierre commented: “It is always a pleasure to take part in international karting and particularly in the world championships. It was a fun weekend at Varennes and I was able to start the final in 13th spot which was pretty decent against some strong opposition. It was all good practice and experience ahead of this weekend’s 3 Hours of Le Castellet in which we will do all we can to fight for the ELMS title. I can’t wait to get started.”
